Inspiration for this project:

This was the first project where I knew the actor I was going to use before anything else. So the process was to write a project to fit him. Nothing was striking me from the news of late so I jotted down a few visual still images that were flashing through my head. Color blind ; peeping Tom ; baby crying ; eggs ; cooking ; fighting ; were what I wrote down. Right. I went to my smaller notebook that has story and other random ideas written down. I came across a writing of an idea based on an episode from my childhood. I had a nightmare when I was young about masked robbers who chased me through a field of lava pits trying to throw me in. During the course of this dream it occurred to me out of the blue that I was dreaming and they couldn't hurt me. I let them catch me and throw me in a pit and I laughed at them while I splashed around in the lava. I never had a nightmare after that. Based on that, a premise developed. "What if a man could manipulate his dreams and they started coming true, but not how he hoped they would."
