Inspiration for this project:

I could not get enough of the Summer Olympics. I took my girlfriend to Catalina Island, CA for one night on her birthday and we watched the Olympics in our room all night instead of going out. (Granted it was a nice room.) During the woman's Volleyball matches I kept seeing the glamorized pictures of the athletes in the stat boxes on TV. One I remember in particular was Kerri Walsh. Not that she isn't beautiful in her own way, but "Come On!" It bothered me that the TV station felt it necessary to do something sexy like that to sell the sport to an audience. On the other hand I'm sure that when they (not just KW, but most of the women throughout) looked at these pictures of themselves they weren't saying "No don't use that one use this really drab one instead." That sort of screws things all sideways, don't it.
